Installed in kitchen extraction ductwork, UV/Ozone lamps clean the exhaust ducts and hood interior. They destroy cooking odour, keep ductwork almost grease-free, reduce fire risk, reduce ductwork cleaning to a minimum and is completely automatic in operation.
The UV lamps generate ozone by breaking down O2 oxygen molecules into individual O atoms, then attaching them to other O2 oxygen molecules to form O3 ozone molecules. Ozone has been proven effective in destroying microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, yeast and fungus, and grease and oil from the kitchen exhaust.
